I simply needed something that flows, continues,
that is long and long, horizontally.

:so a long long hill was set to be the base layer.
: and was divided into 7 parts.
Layer 1 and 7 are in fact interconnected so that the hill's length can elongate indefinitely without a sense of an ending.
